    I was just catching up with the BBC's new version of Emma and was pleasantly surprised to see him as Mr Woodhouse. He's very funny and spot on as the blathering hypochondriac that is Mr Woodhouse.

        I agree. He was superb as Mr Woodhouse, bringing a sense of hilarity, subtlety, depth and poignancy.

            Indeed! He was a fabulous Mr Woodhouse! I was so happy to see him in the miniseries. I thoroughly enjoyed his portrayal, but then again, I always enjoy the wonderful Michael Gambon. 🙂
