Either way she is still a mother to the child. I grew up with Little House and would see interviews with her on talk shows and such and they would always talk about how she had no kids in real life but a houseful on Little House. This was in the early 80's I know in her Bio it states she has one child this was in 84, this being after Little House series ended. Did she adopt or give birth? She would have been 39 or 40 in 84. Now a days women still pop kids out at 45-50 years old.

According to Wikipedia and her bio at IMDb she adopted her daughter with her then husband (whichever one that was). I forget where I read it, but she lives with her daughter too now.
