I think I was like 9 or 10 when MacGruder and Loud came on TV. I was so in love with that show. I wanted them to be my mom and dad. I wish it were available on DVD, but I'm guessing that chances of that happening are none. Still, I have some fond childhood memories of all that chemistry between the two leads.
She makes me wish that I could write an amazing hollywood blockbuster and cast her in the lead. Something playful, but with dramatic range. I haven't seen her play a mom very often. There were kids in "I'll Fly Away" but her character didn't interact with them very much. She was so great in "Son-Rise: A Miracle of Love" another movie that I wish I could find on DVD or even VHS.
In the new year, I hope she has casting directors calling until she has to take the phone on the hook. Kathryn Harrold will always be one of my favorite actresses of all time. -

Agreed. KH is a (capital "S") Stunner.
I'm not sure who it was she ended up with but this much can be said: one look into those bedroom eyes (coupled with that killer smile) and WHOEVER he was he w a s O U T T A T H E R E . -

It's an honest shame that the lovely and talented Kathryn Harrold didn't have a much bigger career. I thought she was excellent in both "Vampire" and "The Sender." She was likewise quite appealing as Steve McQueen's pregnant school teacher wife in "The Hunter."
Q: What's the biggest room in the world? A: The room for improvement. -

Good call.Rene Russo is a good comparison. She also reminds me of Michele Pfeiffer.
I've been a fan of Kathryn Harrold since the early '80s. She invaded many of my high school dreams..The Hunter, Modern Romance, Pursuit of DB Cooper, The Sender, Into the Night (with Pfeiffer). I'm surprised the IMDB doesn't have more info about her.
