You do not deserve as much money as Macy

You're all wrong. Ms. Rossum has been the staple of that series for a long time now. She made a name for herself in her own right before this show. After 7 years working and a hand in directing, I think she is deserving of a pay raise.
She is a talented actress, and after this series ends she will find other work. I think it's a smart idea for her to demand more at this time. -

While Macy is a brilliant veteran of his field and deserves the attention he's received by the Emmys etc Rossum has been the true star of the series and has carried the show to where it is at. She also has a lot more screentime than Macy as well, there is no reason she shouldn't have already been getting a larger salary than him by this point in the series. And she is far from just a decent actress. She is leagues above everyone in the series alongside Macy. But because she's younger and has less credits to her name people feel justified in saying it's not deserved. I've never been able to understand how overlooked her talent is when she IS the star of the show.

Macy has more nominations for the show than she does. Do your homework before spouting biased opinions based on personal preference. I'm glad you like her, but that does not mean she deserves more than costars that had just as big a role making the show a success. This is not equality, it's ego.

If they replaced her with another actress to play Fiona, I would probably think something looks different about herpossibly a new hair style. Then I would shrug my shoulders and watch like I usually do.
In other words, it wouldn't matter one way or another if she stayed or left. If they only referred to the Fiona character, but we never saw her; or if they replaced her, it would make zero difference to me.
But hey, if for some dumb reason they think she's worth the extra money, good for her. -

Exactly. If sexism isn't a problem, why does everyone go ballistic every time an actress demands equal pay? In Emmy's case, she's also demanding back pay, which is exactly what you'd get from any other employer that failed to give you a raise at the appropriate time. Where was all this outrage when Ashton Kutcher was demanding $1M an episode for the beep Two and Half Men?

I thought that was a dick move on his part, just like its a bitch move on hers to basically say she's a bigger star than macey and ask for more money
That's like if I went to my boss and said, "hey technically I work harder than you, so I should get paid more."
Jesus you're one of those 15$ an hour people aren't you -

It's fine for women like Jennifer Lawrence, Robin Wright, and Gillian Anderson to stand up for themselves and make sure that they get paid as much as their male co-stars because not only are they talented but they are household names as well.
Emmy Rossum is
NEITHER
! Who the hell does she think she is? Not only does she not deserve as much money but she is asking for more when she is not a great actress o16d0r a 'star' or even a household name. I hope she gets blacklisted. -

What a spoiled little brat to ask as much as Macy gets paid. That is ridiculous. When she has accomplished half as much as he has then she may ask.
When Suzanne Somers threw a fit Ana demanded as much as John Ritter, we all know what happened. She was replaced! The show nosedived and all her fellow thespians detested her for such a slimy demand.
It pays more to have a good attitude, work very hard and develop your craft. -

You get paid for the job you do. She has 3 times as much air time as Macy. Regardless of awards, bc that is just Hollywood giving themselves a pat on the back, if you do the same job you get the same pay. End of story. Weather you are an actress or an accountant. Even Macy said that it was well deserved.

William H Macy is the name that got everyone to pay attention to the show and his character is easily the most controversial ans is brought up a lot more than simply Fiona.
Not to mention he's twice the actor she is and the only use for her character is to sleep around and play mom to her other con siblings. Fiona herself cannot be credited as carrying the show because it's an ENSEMBLE cast and there are plenty of people that tuned out of Fiona and are watching for characters like Lip or Ian, not her.

This is the stupidest thing I've read all day honestly. Everyone in the same career field should be paid the same? Not based on experience, length, actual talent, etc? Wow.
