Sounds like you need to move on to an actress that suits you a little betterThere's PLENTY of Porn stars and Erotic actresses for you to choose from
Bobbie has done ALOT more than the movies you constantly refer toI'm not saying she's not beautiful and movies are Visual but she has just as many fans from her comedic and action roles. As an "rtist"she has every right to move on from roles that showcase her beauty above everything else
"Last flight Out"was definitely an opportunity to do just thatI understand it was a BILLY GRAHAM production and therefore has a religious theme but she was VERY believable as a missionary doctor and I personally think it was some of her best work . If you're not into the religious message, Well, don't watch it.
See, I used to work for Bobbie. I became a fan of her as a person as well as an actress. We represent many BIG names but Bobbie was one of the few "Down To Earth" actresses on our roster. Despite her Beauty. She's a person that remains true to herself. This is why she left Hollywood and will work when she wants to.
We have had many offers come through our office in the past year since she left. All we can do is pass the info on to herShe'll come out of THE JUNGLE when she feels like it and to do what SHE wants. That's what makes her an rtist. Her Choices remain HERS. I am in awe of this amazingly BOLD and CANDID beauty. This is why, although I no longer work for her, I will never stop thinking of her Humor, Honesty, and Energy that sets her apart from anyone I've ever met.

I knew that might get you goat. It soumds like you're still 'thinking' of her a tad. And I'm sure you do get a lot of offers coming through your office so does Crystal Gold and Nikki Sterling.
Ok ok, joking aside, I appreciate where you're coming from. I have not yet seen 'Last Flight Out' - Can't find it anywhere. But as far as I know there's no naked or sex scenes in it - Hey come on, even Mary the mother of God got some action eventually, so they could have written in at least one scene for Bobbie, right?
BTW, moving towards more family orientated movies does not make her a better actress, although I would like to see Bobbie succeed I think making this type of movie is a bit of a sell out. You saying she didn't do it for the money?
To an extent both yourself and myself are on the right track. We both want to see Bobbie succeed. Only thing is, I think I represent the truth, and you the fantasy. I love her, but I won't love her cause she's a nice person or because I'm a fan of hers personally - that way leads to chaos and demeans any real merit. There's plenty of talentless pornstars who are genuinely nice people and very down to earth.
Give me Bobbie saying yes to a role that rocks me and many others and that makes people want to be that person, (and please don't quote tv garbage lile chameleon) or that makes me value life, check over my shoulder, want to see the sequel yesterday etc etc, and I will standup and salute Bobbie.
I understand if Bobbie is not acting that much cause she doesn't want to be a star and all the bull that goes along with it, but I can't understand why Bobbie isn't acting if she is an actress.
      Keth.

        Acusa,
Just anotb68her thing. Regarding 'There's PLENTY of Porn stars and Erotic actresses for you to choose from', isn'that the point in that perhaps I and many others where happy with Bobbie taking it off. Sure I could seek out other erotic actresses and pornstars but in this case I always thought that Bobbie excelled in the nudity department she's an incredibly sexy and sexual woman. Sure there's others like Kari Wuhrer and Krista Allen to name but two but these are pretty insincere actresses with one eye on the door and the other on the dollar.
Just about your quote again, there's also plenty of actresses that could act in 'Last Flight Out' too. It works both ways.
Bobbie, if you are reading this I really don't mean you any hurt, although you probably hate me now. I just think it's such a waste to say goodbye in totality to the more erotic rolls you've done - many actresses have peeled off but few are as sexy with their clothes still onwith the promise of taking them off.
I am a little cynical, I know but I can't help thinking that you have followed your head more so than your heart in turning away from the rolls many of us remember you for.
        Keth.

pzman, you made some valid comments and then undermined all of them by your final sentence. Talk about hypocritical. I will say that having worked for Bobbie, she made some very important contract changes later in her career, following the advice of a top celebrity attorney. Bobbie, as well as many actors in Hollywood, have had to deal with unsavory producers that agree to approach a film artisically, then edit and change direction only to use contractual loopholes to
negate everything the actor originally signed on to be a part of.
I personally believe the only time so far in Bobbie's career that she had a great team of professional writers, producers, actors, etc. was on "Murder One". It was early in her career, but she definitely not only held her own but shined! That was television and therefore had certain limitations. She has yet to work with such a team in film, but when she does I have no doubt her performance will be phenominal. As far as nudity, only in America do we even feel the need to discuss it on such a petty level.

I can't speak for Bobbie, but she is an artist and I believe knowing her, that she would choose any project based on what she thought of it artistically. I do recall on several occasions her disappointment with films that she believed were going to be approached in a more artistic manner only to be watered down into something she was very unhappy with. But that happens at one time or another to all actors. We must remember, it takes many elements to make a film what it is. Many elements can destroy the entire project ie: Scripts can be decent, only to be re-written during production and the whole meaning can be changed with the wrong stroke of a pen, bad choices by directors, producers, poor editing, and of course acting that is under par. But most times that I have seen films fall apart it is not the fault of the actors, but the other problems that I mentioned. It's a shame that the actors are usually the ones who take the biggest falls when a film flops. The actors are the ones whose faces are associated with the project. On the positive side, actors are usually ones with the biggest gains when a film succeeds. It is a double edged sword. But such is the "business" of show business.

By the way, regarding my original post that started this thread. I realize my choice of wording was poor. In that it sounded as if I thought Bobbie would only be making "morality films" from now on. I apologize as it is not my place to speak for Bobbie's choices and what they will be in the future, I have no idea. I was very happy for her that she was chosen to play a part solely on her acting ability. As a matter of fact, they were worried she was too attractive for the role, but her acting won them over. The film did great for World Wide Pictures (I believe their most popular so far). Even though it was very low budget. I believe they filmed it in 20 days! This is why I say, "Give Bobbie a real project where she has more than one 'take' and a good team and she will surely soar!"

My God this discussion is till going on. I took a year off from I.T and it's still going on? On reflection and having caught up with all the posts I have to say I still feel the same about Bobbie and I stand by what I said, however I shouldn't have been so sarcastic, so Bobbie, if you're out there, I'm sorry - You are a very decent actress in every way and you do deserve a great career. I think a lot of people were surprised at the gear shift from your more candid movies to your last movie - Last Flight Out, and same people miss you.
It would be great to hear Bobbie's opinions on this discussion? Any chance?
Also, I did get to see 'Last Flight Out'. Good movie and Bobbie is excellent. I bought the DVD from Videouniverse.com, and Samhaine-Evil Breed is also on DVD now with Bobbie in toe.
Btw, I got to meet Kathy Shower over the summer of 2005 in Hollywood. A beautiful and welcoming women if ever there was one.
