Christina being bullied during her childhood

I was bullied too 20 yes ago when I was in 3rd grade. Thank god, I had friends by my side (even though we had our petty differences between us), but it was really painful how that girl would bully me for no apparent reason. That's the only thing I did not like about 3rd grade, plus the teacher.
Anyways, going back to Christina, her vocal talent paid off well and left her jealous haters in the dust.
Don't play games with a girl who can play better. -

And those bullies got the last laughChristina is now a hugely successful singer and a household name. Where are those bullies now? Working at Burger King probably, whereas Christina's a hugely popular singer who has had many hits, has won Grammy's, and has influenced many.

Same here. I had my group of friends who were going through the same thing and we all supported each other. I couldn't imagine going through it alone.

That's true. I can't remember if it was on Behind the Music or Driven, but Christina said she tagged along to a friend's prom and when Genie in a Bottle started playing, everyone left the dance floor. I know that had to hurt like hell, but like you said, she went on to have a successful career with her name in lights so she got the last laugh.

Actually, this is something I've always wanted to post, either on Christina's message board or on Beyonce's message board (which is practically the pop music message board)
Remember the Sally Jesse Raphael show?
Well, back in the year 2000, there was an episode about a young teenage Asian girl who was bullied for several reasons, one for being "Chinese" when she wasn't and another for wanting to be a singer. Her idol and inspiration for wanting to be a singer was Christina Aguilera, and she got to meet Christina and even got advice and help from her as well. Go to 2:30 to see this clip:

Girls like her are why Christina made songs like "Fighter". -

You're welcome!
And actually, I was reading your posting history, and you responded to a post about "what is the first song you remember hearing on the radio?" and you said "Tracie Spencer's 'Tenderb68 Kisses' when I was about 4".
I had never heard of that singer, so I looked her up and that song, and while looking her up on Google and in Google images, I found a picture of this singer that I was looking for named Elisa Fiorillo.
I learned about this Elisa singer when I was looking up Madonna knockoffs/clones on the Internet, and I found a message board talking about Madonna knockoffs/clones, and someone posted an Elisa Fiorillo music video called "On the Way Up".
I had never heard of this singer before, but I listened to her song and I enjoyed the song, but this singer sounded more like a Paula Abdul knockoff than a Madonna knockoff (and people used to call Paula a Madonna knockoff too).
I tried looking this singer's music up on iTunes and they had one album by her, that didn't have that song I enjoyed.
I was trying to find the name of this singer, trying to look up her and her song I enjoyed and trying to find that Madonna message board talking about Madonna clones and knockoffs, but I couldn't find her or that board.
But then, while reading your posting history, you posted on that post on the Music General board about what is the first song you remember hearing on the radio, and you said that Tracie Spencer song, and I had never heard of her or that song and I looked her up on Google and on Google Images, and I found that album cover of this Elisa Fiorillo singer that I found on iTunes.
I typed this singer's name in the Youtube search engine, and I found that song by her that I enjoyed that I was looking for.
Thanks! -

BTW, who's that in your new profile pic?
Her name is Tobey Torres and she was the lead singer for a band called Snake River Conspiracy, an almost industrial rock-esque band in the early 2000's, and industrial rock is music like Nine Inch Nails.
I've been trying to look of the name of this band forever. I remember years ago, I was listening to their remake of the song "LoveSong" by the 80's band the Cure, and I loved that remake, but I didn't know who sang it, but one day I was looking up these images of Tairrie B from the early 2000's heavy metal band My Ruin, and I found these images of Tairrie B posing with Tobey Torres, and I looked up the band Tobey Torres was in, and voila! That's the band that I was looking for who covered "Lovesong" by the Cure!
Also, since you said:
Sally, Ricki, Montel. the good ole days of trashy TV.
I actually found this episode of the Jenny Jones show from the early 2000's about teenage girls obsessed with Christina Aguilera, so much that they try to dress like her and look like her, and this was Christina during her "Dirrty" era: -

Cool. When I first saw the pic I thought it was Katie Holmes in this thriller from the 90's called Disturbing Behavior, but once I got a better look at it I realized it wasn't her.

Thanks. I'll have to watch them tomorrow. It's silly for anyone to blame a pop star for young girls emulating or dressing like them. They do have parents, after all.
