Watching the two of them again is just great! It's like LIving Single is still on and they never stopped or something.

I know this post was written awhile ago. But I've been watching Living Single on TV One and I'm watching 30 Years to Life (right now) on the same channel. I agree. She is one of the best actresses out there! However, I've noticed, the movie/tv industry doesn't always reward the best and most talented actors and actresses with more roles. I've seen too many mediocre actors/actresses rise to the top and achieve stardom when actors of more talent remain obscure or don't seem to get the roles they are capable of handlin2000g with finesse. I would like that to change for this actress (and many more I think are awesome!). 🙂

She was great as Maxine. I watch the reruns every once in a while, she's just so funny! Her delivery is spot on, sometimes her delivery could make a line 10x funnier. And she was
              so
into her character because Erika seems so much different than Maxine.
She is indeed a versatile and underrated actress. I've seen 30 Years to Life and that movie surprised me with a few of the other performances in it.
Watching her in Mama Flora's Family (I wish they could have used her longer) I got to see her flex her dramatic skills for the first time after Living Single. Have you seen La Mission with Benjamin Bratt? She's great in that as usual.
Rest in Peace Johnny Otis, Etta James, a Rhythm & Blues legend & a true artist you will be missed.

La Mission? I haven't seen that one yet but I'd like to. I'll look for it. Hopefully, it's on netflix.

Hey Kelea, thanks for the suggestion! I read your post the other day, and just watched the movie on Amazon Prime and I loved it! I love BB and EA so it was great to see the two of them together! EA looked absolutely gorgeous! My Mom noted that she didn't have much (any really) makeup on. Amazing. I will be purchasing the DVD for this movie soon.
Hopefully the other movie you mentioned will be on AP soon, and I can stream it as well. Thanks again!

Right? It's a no brainer, once you see them together you're wondering why this didn't happen sooner, lol!

I'm glad you enjoyed the movie, I've been pushing it since before it was released.
It's crazy how on Living Single (as much as I love it) her looks were usually downplayed yet to me she was the most beautiful. No slight to the other ladies as they were lovely as well. She definitely showed out when she needed to but even when Max was walking around in a robe stuffing her face and scratching herself, I mean they had to work really hard to make her seem unpleasant. TC Carson made it believable somehow. I know that was the point of the character but still
Hopefully the other movie you mentioned will be on AP soon, and I can stream it as well. Thanks again!
I don't have Amazon Prime but was considering buying the dvd online and I believe they have it, but I don't think you can watch it for free. It's an independent film with Tracey Morgan, Allen Payne, Melissa de Sousa and some other familiar faces that focuses on a group of friends and how they deal with turning 30. I haven't seen it in a good while but I remember it surprising me a bit, it exceeded my expectations which I guess were low for whatever reason.
