Why So Much Hate?

I thought she was good in Total Recall, better than Kate Beckinsale, and I like Ms. Beckinsale. I thought she popped on the screen, and here beauty was very apparent. The movie was so, so, which led to here only average performance.
I agree, she is not as strong as some of the bigger stars, but she is very attractive and a better than average performer. -

Insanely underrated? Really?..reallllly???
Name one great role. Summer Catch? .Chuck and Larry?
She's not ugly, she's a decent at best actress. But, no way she's a great beauty or this great actress.
I saw her in Blade:Trinity and Next. She was alright, but it could have been about any other actress and she wouldn't have been missed.
I just don't get her appeal except for the nice butt.
Really? You want to make your point by giving examples such as Summer Catch and Chuck and Larry? LOL. This is exactly what happens. People watch Valentine's Day and such and think that can tell if an actor is good or bad. Well, you can't. While I think she did her job in those, I don't think that kind of movie is appropriate to measure an actor's ability. Who is going to give a riveting performance in a romantic comedy? Should watch The Tall Man, Powder Blue, The Illusionist, The Truth About Emanuel -

I don'2000t hate her, I don't know her. But don't like her because of all the anti marriage stuff she has touted in interviews over the years- but soon as she finally gets a proposal she accepts. That's just doing a disservice to women who really do not want to get married- it is like she was just trying to be cool and more desirable to men for wanting to be unattached. And she is just a mediocre actress. Not bad but certainly not one who will have longevity in her acting career.

Ew, she's engaged to Justin Timberlake. He's such a douche, not cute, and a terrible actor. He's funny on SNL, but that's about it. 'Friends With Benefits' was unwatchable. She's way too hot and too cool for him. She should have stuck with the anti-marriage stance or at least waited until something better came along. She seriously underplays her value when it comes to guys.

I'm soo happy that I'm not the only one who thins she's too good for him.
He sucks at everything he does and then brags how cool he is(wtf?), I saw Black Snake Moan and every time his whiney face comes on screen I just wanna stop the movie all together, his role REALLY wasn't needed or they could've gotten somone less bitchy sounding. But when Jessica's on screen all my attention's on her not just because she IS beautiful but she also has something else about her that you can't get enough of and that's her sexy attitude.
But that's just my opinion
I'd have to say my favorite movie with her is Stealth then Texas Chainsaw Masacar. -

It could have been MUCH worse
Remember Julia Roberts (PRETTY WOMAN movie) married Lyle Lovette(sp?). She's beautiful, he's talented, but no one could accuse him of being handsome
Another strange marriage was Sandra Bullock and Jessie James; and Jessie cheated on Sandra! A lot!
Regarding marriage,
when one, or both of the two getting married have significant resources/wealth, all sorts of laws come into play, and can entangle the resources. Think "merger" rather than love.
A pretty sad example is the recent divorce of cyclist Lance Armstrong and musician Sheryl Crowe. Mr. Armstrong had to know the sky was about to fall on him, and would also affect Sheryl Crowe's money/resources and even future earnings, so they divorced. If not, and if there were no prenuptual contract, all of her resources may well have been open to lawsuits that would only have targeted him, IF they were not married. (Texas is a community property state.)
Some of the lawsuits are apparently even targeting money/bonuses paid to him around a decade ago, and that could easily have been long ago spent as part of his sport expenses. -

I'm not sure what him being a terrible actor and not that funny would have to do with her reasons for being with him. I don't know much about either of them except for their creative works. But if they are happy together, why should anyone care?
I didn't know they were together until I heard that they had gotten married. -

runo-costa — 13 years ago(July 05, 2012 09:54 AM)It's not unusual to young people be against marriage or having kids.
They say that marriage is a lie, is dead, bla bla bla.
They say there are overpopulation in the world.
That adoption is more rational.
99% of this young people will engage a life together with someone or have their own child.
Her change of mind is no reason for hate.
And this post is about hate.
Many people, mostly woman, come here to thrash her, saying that she is a bad actress and ugly.
She isn't a bad actress, many of her movies can prove that. Again: nobody is saying she is Glen Close, just that she isn't a bad actress.
And she is ridiculously beautiful.111c Saying she is ugly is pathetic.
Is like a dude go to the Thor guy page and say he is ugly.
You could even do not agree this people are attractive, but do not understand that is clearly reasonable that people in general will feel attraction about then isn't possible, is totally embittered. -

Or perhaps she just changed her mind about marriage because she met the right person. People have been known to change their opinions, you know.
That's just doing a disservice to women who really do not want to get married
How? She once thought she didn't want to get married then met someone who made her reconsider her views. There's nothing wrong with that. This happens to people all the time. There's no need to shame her just because she didn't meet the expectations that you, a complete stranger to Jessica, had of her.
The real disservice here is expecting some woman you've never met to live up to your own personal beliefs of how you choose to live your life.
I know I'm a vampire, Snookie.
