Fell of the face of the earth after 7th Heaven was cancelled.
No she didn't, at least right away. As you can see she has been in lots of movies. Problem is, she's a mediocre actress and after so many bombs her star dimmed significantly. -

Unfortunately she found herself typecast in the role of 'the hot chick' and any films where she went against type - The Illusionist, Hitchcock - didn't make as much headway. She has said that it's hard for her to get roles because she's seen as too pretty. And unfortunately she's not as gifted as the likes of Anne Hathaway, Scarlett Johansson, Keira Knightley and other actresses of her generation to get people to take notice. She's also had some unlucky flops, especially Accidental Love, which many expected would get her some recognition.
