You don't know. You assume. And you're wrong.
"Teufel" is German for "Devil". Faust was the guy in Goethe's "Faust" who made a pact with the devil! And before you assume some more: "Goethe" isn't German for "God". Goethe is the author of "Faust". "Gott" is German for "God".
And just to make it complete. "Faust" derives from the Latin "faustus", which means "blessed" or "beneficial".

It's spelled "Fahrvergngen" (or Fahrvergnuegen, if that umlaut does not work) and it means: joy of driving or drivingjoy.
