I never liked Boy Meets World.I guess it's because I
had always thought Topanga was too good for Cory.Sure,he
was a good kid,but I think deep down in my heart that
Topanga should've married sHawn and ran off to New York
with him and leave Cory to Angela.That's just me though!

This is based on what? Topanga has never shown any inkling of an interest in Shawn, and neither has Shawn.

that's a very common fan fic pairing. But Cory is the main character, OF COURSE he's going to get the hottest girl in the s5b4how! And the one he (his character) likes.
Also Topanga was the type to like long term committed relationships.
Shawn would get bored of the same girl relatively quickly. He excelled in one night stands and 2 week relationships.
