They do look similar, but the age difference is only 6 years.

According to their imdb biographies Fisher was born in 1952, Helgenberger in 1958, so it's only a 6-year difference.

I was watching True Crime and thought she was a dead ringer for Lauren Holly of NCIS fame. Had a big argument with my dad. Thank heavens for IMDB Pro to clarify the disagreement.

I saw her picture like 5 minutes ago, and I was trying to figure out who she looked like. Now that you said it, she totally looks like Lauren Holly. And a little like Marg too.

i saw her last night in patty hearst, and i was going to do a review of it on youtube, and i was going to say "and the marg helgenburger chacater was my favorite" when really its frances fisher. glad i looked it up before i made a fool of myself. even though i always make a fool of myself on youtube.

I wouldnt really agree that shes like her, or else is stretching it, whereas the Lauren Holly resemblance is almost creepy.
Even SOUNDS like Lauren holly.

It's the eyes. They both have eyes which kinda freak you out.

I just saw Season 4 of The Killing and I was sure I was watching Lauren Holly; had to look it up. She really looks quite similar to Lauren.
Keep it up and you'll be that strange smell in the crawl space.

No, but the producers of Ryan's Hope wanted Frances Fisher to join the cast as Siobhan Ryan Novak on the show. Marg Helgenberger was eventually cast in that role.

Hmmm I don't see a HUGE resemblance. But they could play sisters believably. Kinda like Julia Roberts and Kyra Sedgwick in "Something to Talk About."
Fisher and Helgenberger are excellent actresses, and both are quite sexy:)

Tonight's CSI: Las Vegas "Maid Man" has Frances Fisher playing Joanna Sapphire. When she is interviewed by Brass in his office she is made up almost like Marg Helgenberger, with the same hair, only slightly older. That scene is immediately followed by a scene with Marg so it appears that she is playing both characters. At first I thought both were Helgenberger but found the casst list to learn it was Fisher. My guess it was another one of those extras that CSI is noted for, not at all a coincidence.

I, too, saw the similarity between Fisher and Helgenberger. The real treat here is that Fisher played a love interest for Ted Danson in several episodes of Becker as Dr. Liz.
