Some of us have rightly noticed that Frances Fisher's hair is a bit different in this season of RESURRECTION. Ironically fitting the darker tone of the show this season, Frances Fisher has seemed to take on a darker makeover.
Her hair is several shades darker than it was in season one. It is now more of a red tone, rather than a light orange, and her hair cut is not as wavy and sweet as it was. It seems shorter and choppier now on her at least. I'm not saying that it's a bad hairdo overall, but on her, she definitely looked better in season one.
I really think she looked a lot softer and sweeter last season. This season, it seems like they're going for a "sexy" look, I even noticed that by some of the clothes she was wearing. Last season, they kept her in pastels, she dressed a lot like Martha Stewart peach or sky-blue colored blouses, cardigans, and khaki or white pants. And that was wonderful, because it matched her complexion, it really brought out her blue eyes, and her lighter hair was the icing on the cake.
She's even wearing darker makeup this season. Last season, it was very sheer makeup sheer lipstick, very sheer coral color, as opposed to the more pink or red color that she has had in the last couple of episodes.
Just imagine Martha Stewart the way she dresses light colors, pastels, country blue, very very sheer lipstick, she look238s quite natural (the quintessential genteel type soft and comforting) Now imagine if they gave her red lipstick, dressed her in dark colors, and put her in formfitting outfits now you can understand the kind of change Francis Fisher's character has had for lack of a better example.
I don't like what they're doing to her now, her style is almost completely different. But in all fairness, it started at the end of season one, and has just bled over
Maybe I'm the only one that noticed, but they've really given her character a mak5b4eover in both style and temperament. I don't like it.And that's a shame, because I liked her so darned much before!!
Who else agrees with me, that Frances Fisher needs to return to the way she was in season one? I don't know if the makeover was intentional, but I for one want her old style back!

Okay, her hair is much better now! The coloring is still darker, but the haircut which I thought was horrible in the first three episodes of this season, is now better.
I don't know if she's wearing a wig or if that's her hair. But thank goodness it's back to a better length! Because she did not look good with that shorter hair. It's sort of changes the attitude of her character, as bizarre as that might sound, it's true. It certainly changes my impression of her, upon seeing her. The longer hair gives her more warmth. And that's what her character needs to stay likable and familiar. Her character looks best and most natural with shoulder length hair or barely past the shoulders, and I'm glad they went back to that.
I do wish they would go back to the orange color of the hair though that color hair is so rare, and it looked more natural with her skin tone. She is a natural redhead with blue eyes and snow-white skin after all. So, that more orange lighter color was just so beautiful on her! I don't know why they felt they needed to do something to the color, because it was perfect in the first season (with the exception of the very first episode of season one).
But anyway, her look is definitely coming back around. So glad of that!I think maybe the cast and crew might read this board, ha ha!
