This is what I find bizarre about religion. He has his doctrine already. He doesn't need another one. He shouldn't be politically minded one way or the other. The Bible should be his guide, not Das Capital.

So Catholics don't follow the Bible per se, but rather the Magisterium, which they would consider the Bible to be a part of. In their view, they wrote and compiled the New Testament, and the church itself predates it's existence. And while the Eastern Orthodox can make the same claims, in my opinion, that is largely accurate.
Sola scriptura emerged during the Reformation and would seem to solve all the problems for Protestants. Only trouble is that some clergy and parishioners will place a greater emphasis on some commandments than others, it's nearly impossible to follow

of them all of the time, and sometimes verses outright contradict each other. Hence the emergence of various denominations, all claiming to follow the same Bible. At last count there were more than a hundred Baptist denominations in the US alone.

Apparently he was really close to Francis. I think being an American is actually a plus, since Oompa Loompa, Couchfucker and the rest of the conservitards only respect white, English-speaking men. He may be able to make inroads into the dipshit cult in ways that a Latino couldn't.
