and one of the vampires remembers Jasmine Guy's character from a 1969 civil rights march/speech that she was involved in.
Except Jasmine Guy would have only been 7 years old that year.
It's great that she got a part in the show but it sucks that she's playing a woman at least 10 - 15 years older than her actual age. I always thought it would be an ego crusher to get cast as "the fat guy" or "the ugly girl at the party" and getting cast as an adult's grandmother when you're not even 50 yet would be hard to take. -

Even worse, when I started this thread, I hadn't gotten to the part where they killed off her character. I was kind of peeved about it and having her come back very briefly as a ghost didn't really help. I thought she was great on the show and I want more of her.
She was one of my favorite characters on Dead Like Me as well.
