She was popular in Dawson's Creek (arguably the most popular actor) and I think she may have had a decent career if she hadn't become Mrs Cruise. But that's just me.

I agree I liked her on Dawsons Creek. Michelle Williams was my favorite, but it's clear from that show and most of the films she's not she is far from a bad actress. She kept growing and got better, and I was literally blown away by her in Miss Meadows. That is prob her best performance.
I think Tom Cruise was her downfall unfortunately. I see no reason why she wouldn't have done The Dark Knight except for TC being controlling/jealous and talking her out of it to do some B chick flick no one saw. He was prob jealous she was going to be in another blockbuster film with not just Christian Bale and other big names but now Heath Ledger (bless his soul) and he was prob giving her BS reasons not to do it. And she was young, and impressionable and listened. I think had she done that film, and carrb68ied on with other projects thrown her way she would have done better career wise.
I do blame Tom Cruise. She does have talent. It's not like she's one of those AWFUL actresses out there who get work in C scary movies for their looks and breasts. People calling her a bad actress obviously have not seen really bad acting. She isn't oscar worthy but she's good. And has great presence and is beautiful. -

Unlike you, who's so bitter that you're stuck in a minimum wage job, so you hide behind your keyboard and pick on those who can't defend themselves, only because it somehow makes you feel better about yourself. It has to be really difficult being you.
