Kate's biological father calls her a 'spoiled brat'

Why are you referring to him as her "biological" father? Kurt Russell is her mother's live-in love and that is their only connection. He is not her stepfather and did not adopt her. I can't believe you'd think she'd actually change her last name to Russell
As someone else mentioned in this thread already, Kate Hudson has frequently stated in interviews that she considers Kurt Russell her real father. For that reason, I referred to Bill Hudson as her biological father because that's basically all he is to her (according to HER). Just the sperm donor.
I think Kurt Russell has also demonstrated he is more than "just" Goldie Hawn's live in lover. Despite not being married, it would seem Russell has acted in a step father capacity to Goldie Hawn's children, AND he is the father of Kate Hudson's step brother (the child Goldie Hawn had with Kurt Russell). Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell have been together for years. To say he's just in the home as her boyfriend and no part of Kate's life is an extremely narrow-minded definition of "family." Who is that naive?
We don't know why Goldie and Kurt have never legally formalized their relationship but do they really need to for anyone's benefit? Who cares?

Who someone "considers" their father is damn important. Maybe more important than biology.
I do know this. Kate's and her brother Oliver went to the same high school for awhile. Oliver has also stated he considers Kurt Russell his real father. When there was a meeting for Oliver's parents with one of the school's administrators, Goldie Hawn was there. Kurt Russell was there. Bill Hudson was conspicuous by his failure to be there. Speaks volumes about who a child's real father is, doesn't it?

I agree completely. Just because someone can biologically become a parent, doesn't mean they will be a good caretaker of that child.

Kate does seem spoiled. Bill made accusations that he gave up trying to see his kids because Golde made it difficult. It's his fault for giving up but it's not far fetched to believe that a powerful, wealthy movie star like Goldie could make it almost impossible to see his kids. Both Goldie and Kate have run around saying cheating is fine as long as you don't bring it home and that backs up Bill's claims that they are both slutty. He's not Mr. Nice Guy by airing this in public imo but I don't doubt that at least some of what he's saying is true.

It doesn't even take a powerful movie-star to use your kids as a pawn against your ex-husband; women do it everyday. My mother viewed the man as the lesser(sperm donor) of the parent, by default
The truth could be that Bill Hudson is not a nice guy, but that doesn't otherwise make what he says untrue. She sure saw something in him when they got married.
I've a notion that most celebrity Beverly Hills children are spoiled to a degree -

On what factual basis are you making this judgment?

Ask him how many many of the school plays that Kate acted in, or other events for parents that were held during her 4 years of high school was he there for. I'd wager he will sputter before admitting the answer is you could count them on one hand, if any. There was nothing preventing him from attending. The law in California says that he was entitled to copies of her (and Oliver's) grade reports. Did he ever bother to try to get them or read them? He played little if any role in raising her.

If being spoiled includes unruly, rebellious and bratty behavior, then I suppose she was not really spoiled, having graduated from the demanding Crossroads High and being accepted to NYU, one of the most selective universities in the world. She does describe herself as a "hard worker".

It could be. I can't remember who it was or where, but yeeeeaaaars ago I heard or read somewhere, some guy saying that this one movie star wouldn't let her kids hang out with Goldie Hawn's kids because Goldie Hawn's kids were undisciplined brats and bad influences.

I'm not going to judge this guy for writing about his daughter because she's an adult not a child. She has also expressed how she felt she thinks things went on with her father through interviews and media. Most importantly, she has been accusing him of not being there for her when she has expressly shown no interest in any family connected to him. That includes her grandmother, siblings, etc. that's pretty harsh and messed up, especially with her always talking about how someone else is her dad. She may feel that way but Hudson is still her dad. Show some degree if respect for him and his family.

I'm guessing that she didn't change her name because starting her career she didn't want to get the "she only gets roles because of her last name" label put on her and now she's to well known as Kate Hudson.
