Why does she keep attending award ceremonies ?

She hasn't been in a decent films in ages . I think she just wants to have her picture taken to show the whole world that she still exists.

If you mean only as an attendee, it might be for to support some friend or as you've put, just being around. Though award ceremonies are not only for acclaimed actresses. Most of the presenters are those who have a film upcoming and even if I don't remember her presenting any award this year, if she did, it's probably because of "Kung Fu Panda 3" and "Mother's Day".

"Wish I Was Here" (2014) and "Reluctant Fundamentalist" (2013) were decent films. Not good/great maybe but decent. -

OP is true, I really have no clue, maybe she have good friends in Hollywood because I really can't name any good movie with her, I only remember her obnoxious movie how to lose a man and that's it. She is only there to promote her dresses.
