You're right, Maghtuira, Sophia's smile is very sweet, gentle and motherly and you can see all the calculation in her eyes. I never watched Laura Innes in ER, The Event is the first thing I've seen her in, and I really love her as Sophia. I hope the show gets picked up for another season.

so, then, why watch it or post about it?
Anyway,I don't know if her vocal cords were affected by the multiple tracheotomies she's had, but I like her voice just fine. In general, I'm enjoying the acting in the series.

Too bad she had to ruin her face with botox.. I came to this page to see how old she really is, found out she is only 54, I thought she was more like in her early 70s. Judging by her (unnatural) hair color, she's most probably pretty grey too.

I agree with Maghtuira, Laura really brings something extra to her characters. The Event was the first thing I saw her in, but have ended up buying the boxset of ER as I love watching her performances and what she does with her characters.
Also agree with benjraspail that in general the acting standard on The Event has been brilliant. It'll be such a shame if a nobody picks the show up for a second season as it has so much potential. -

I totally agree
donna
, about Laura Innes really bringing it! I haven't seen any episodes of ER (I usually don't care for 'hospital shows'), but I might consider going back and watching them, knowing that Laura Innes is in them do you recommend it, and is she a main character?
And yes,
benjraspail
, the acting in 'The Event' was simply wonderful, and I'm really going to miss it. There was a little rumor that Netflix was considering original programming, and that there is a possibility that they would continue on with 'The Event.' I don't know how likely it is, but I would love it if they did!

To be honest I'm not really a fan of hospital dramas either.
Only started watching ER because Laura's in it, but it is a genuinely brilliant show.
Kerry is introduced in season 2, where she's in 14 of the 22 eps, but I would say she becomes one of the main characters from like S3/S4 onwards.
Definetely recommend watching it
