Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Laura Innes

I read somewhere when she left the show, that she was maybe coming back next season (14) as guest star for 1 or 2 episodes, and that ER responsables wanted to bring some "old stars" back for the possible show finale this season. did anybody find out there fresh news about that?any idea of Weaver coming back?
    thank you! 😉

i would hope she is. Gloria Reuben is coming back during january for an episode, but i have yet to hear up to january about laura innes coming back. But we have yet to hear about Carter as well. And if they are doing the opening of the Joshua Carter center, maybe Laura is going to come back so Kerry can be there because she was in charge when they okayed it and everything. Who knows, we will find out in time.

I always thought Laura Innes and Elizabeth Kingston got a "raw deal" on how they exited E.R. Miss Sherry Stringfield too!!

You're right.Alex Kingston. I really hate that people are talking about cancellation.

ER is so burned out that they need Corday and Kerry to come back.

                from afterellen.com
When I spoke with ER's executive producer, John Wells, on the set of ER earlier this week, he told me that he's in touch with Laura "all the time" because she also directs episodes of the long-running series, "and I'm very hopeful she'll come back this season. I think it'll probably happen."
                and from the enquirer
"they've brought back two of the series' most beloved stars, Noah Wyle and Laura Innes."

Well they bring Dr. Greene back for one episode. And they also bring Ray back for one too. So i guess it highly possible.

It is rumored that Dr. Weaver will appear with Dr. Greene in the flashbacks

An episode that actually felt like ER of old.
