I always thought he was a great actor and had potential to make it big, but he never did.

He needs to work with like Ryan Gosling or some big director who can still keep him interesting. Maybe his time will come. When he looks older. THe only good thing about GH potentially being cancelled is that he will get work because he's good.

Who says his career never took off? So what if he isn't on "the big screen" He has been very popular on General Hospital and has worked there for years. He has made a living as an actor- I consider that to be successful.
If he had only gotten bit parts here and there then you would have a legitimate argument but he has been working as an actor for years-his career "took off". -

There's consistently working and there is taking off. Not the same thing. There are several actors who consistently work. Leonardo DiCaprio's career took off. Emma Stone's career took off. Zooey Deschanel's career has taken off. I mean being on a soap, actually he's not on one anymore, is not considered taking off5b4. It means he has a job. That's great. And it's not just the big screen. It's being known and talked about and famous. That's taking off.

Maybe it is because many people want to watch tv shows without some neo con shoving their agenda down their throat. Fine if he is a Christian, I am too, fine if he is a republican, I'm conservative as well, but he goes overboard.

I don't think a Christian or conservative would say he goes overboard. Because he doesn't. If you mean he is open about what he believes and sings about it, which you should be able to do since this is America, then there's no issue. If you're saying he goes on CNN and bashes on gays and says everyone should believe in God then I can understand what you're saying. But I haven't witnessed any of that so in my eyes I don't see a man overboard.

Why wouldn't a Christian or conservative say it, as you suggested? Maybe because I have an opinion other than what Fox news and the neo con agenda have? The man does go overboard in my opinion and if you don't think he doesn't fine, which raises the importance and purpose of a message board.

I can't imagine how someone who is open about believing in God comes off as going overboard to someone who professes to believe in God. And since I don't watch Fox News, and don't even know what neo con is I probably don't follow their agendas as well.
Just explain to me how he goes overboard so I can better understand why you think the way you do.

He chose to stick with the Soap Opera thing and let's just say doing a Soap Opera is not the best career move if you aspire to become a Film Star.
As always, Film Stars are always more highly regarded than TV stars and Soap Stars are even further down on the totem pole.
He is great on 'Nashville' and I hope he does finally make it big! Esp 111csince he is 30 now and in his prime.
All you need is love!
