I have to agree with you Happyone. When I listen to Jonathan jackson I can't help but think he has more of a feminine voice than I do. I'm sorry but I don't see him as a rough, tough cop. Greg Vaughn however.rowr!
That is a manly looking man. From his voice and tattoos to his body. If I saw him walking down the street in a cop's uniform I'd buy it. Then probably beg him to take me away in his cop car. (j/k)
All kidding aside, Jonathan was a perfect young Lucky. However, when Greg was brought into the role, I believe that was the pivotal point when the character became an adult.

happyone732002,
I agree 110%. Greg was perfect for the character the writers have made Lucky. He was believable as a cop, big brother, husband and father. JJ is still the same looking skinny kid (with a little more stubble). The only thing believable about JJ as Lucky now is the drug addict part. Luckily for me I find the current sotryline and focus on the Sonny and Jason (who I can't stand) to be totally boring and will no longer watch. Given the cancelations of many soaps GH will be lucky to survive another 5 years. Hopefully Greg Vaughan will move on to bigger and better things and JJ can find himself robbed of a job when this trainwreck of a show goes up in flames. -

What you said.
Jonathan leaving the show was the last straw for me. I had been looking forward to Lucky and Liz becoming the next Luke and Laura. When Jonathan left, Liz was left in Limbo and as far as I'm concerned her character never recovered. And Lucky today is not the same Lucky that would have been if Jonathan had never left. I would love to see THAT Lucky. -

I'm sorry, I do think Jonathan is a terrific actor and if he stayed on with the Lucky roll things would be different but I really feel he looks much to young for the part now. Lulu and he are supposed to be at least 10-11 years appart but they don't look that way at all.
Jonathan is not too young for the part. Greg Vaughn was too old for the part. Lucky is suppose to be in his 20s. Greg Vaughn looked too old to be in his 20s. Jonathan is the correct age for Lucky. Greg Vaughn was miscast.
It doesn't matter that Lulu and Lucky don't look 10-11 years apart. I have a friend who has a sibling who is 10 years older thada0n her. However, they only look a couple years older. Some siblings look the same age as their siblings even if they are older. Some people say that my mother looks like my sister even though she is 19 years older than me.
Plus, Greg Vaughn was too old to be Genie Francis' son. Greg Vaughn is only 11 years older than Genie Francis, and he looked older than Nik as well. -

Jonathan Jackson looks like a wimpy little boy trying to play tough cop.
Greg Vaughn grew into the Lucky role nicely.
I disagree. Greg Vaughn looked and acted like a wimp with his many accidents in the line of duty. I remember when GV's Lucky was trying to resuce Liz from Manny and fell and hurt his back, and started screaming. Liz had to rescue him instead. GV's Lucky was very wimpy and clumsy.
JJ's Lucky is a much cooler and interesting cop. -

Are you crazy? This is a tv show that is written by writers. They decide what will happen, not Greg. If anyone is whimpy it is JJ. There is no way in hell he is manly or could pull off being a cop.
Thats teenie boppers (or wanna be teenie boppers) for you. -

First - I am so glad Jonathan is back as Lucky. I liked the other Lucky's but Jonathan always had my heart. I haven't watched GH in a long while - but from the last episodes I caught, I was really getting annoyed with Lucky (Greg's version). Not necessarily the actor, mostly the writers and where they took Lucky. I am glad Jonathan is back and hopefully the writers and make Lucky Lucky again
Next, this whole debacle about Jonathan being too young for Lucky - I think you need to wrap your head around the fact that half of the 'younger' characters have aged incredibly fast on GH. I mean, Lulu was probably 8 in one episode and the next she aged to 15, or whatever. Michael too. The show has aged the young characters so they have a better story line, yet the keep the older characters the same apparently hoping that no one really realized the age difference there is suppose to be.
My point here being, it isn't Jonathan's fault that now he 'looks' too close in age to the younger characters. The younger characters should be a LOT younger than they are being portrayed right now. I still think Jonathan makes Lucky - and he really doesn't look out of place.. I think he's age1c84d very well since he was last on GH and grew up a lot.
He's in the perfect place right now for Lucky.
