JJ grew up in the role unlike the actors who play Lulu, Kristina and Michael. If they didn't age the other characters to be teens then no one would be complaining about the age difference.

I know. Kristina was born in 2002 and she's 16 and Michael is 17. I know they did it so they can have more story lines, but yeah it is ridiculous. Cam was born before Kristina but they can't age him up cause RH is still young and we all know Liz didn't have him in high school.

b68Kimberly McCullough who plays Robin Scorpio-Drake was a child when she first came on the show, and she is now playing Robin as an adult. She is a mother, wife, and doctor. Kimberly looks young as well, and she's doing a great job as the adult Robin.
The same goes for Jonathan Jackson. He's doing a great job playing the adult Lucky. The chemistry is much better and Lucky is way more interesting and has an edge. -

The fact of the matter is that the role of Lucky Spencer should never have been re-cast in the first place. It's clear from the writing of the last 10 years that the writers had no clue how to write for Lucky under the acting abilities of Jacob Young (robot Lucky) or Greg Vaughan (whiny Lucky). But what's done is done, and the writing for JJ's return has either gotten much better or he's just a far superior actor (I'm betting on the combination).
Yes, JJ has a youthful appearance. I personally thi2000nk he's attractive, but I get that those who loved the bulky hunkiness of GV would find it hard to accept JJ's return. But he is back. He is Lucky Spencer, the street smart, sensitive, music playing Lucky that a lot of us fell in love with all those years ago.
Some of us have even returned to watching GH after a almost 10 year break (that would be me) just because of Jonathan Jackson's return. -

Can't say I'm a returned viewer, but my interest in soaps was renewed during the break from work over the recent holidays. I did catch a few eps of GH after all of the James Franco hype. I only casually watched for about 4 years from 1995-1999, but loved JJ and Amber Tamblyn as Lucky and Emily. JJ was the reason I went to see Tuck Everlasting while in college. I also just spent way too much time tonight youtubing some classic JJ scenes. Do a search for "Luke and Laura rape" and watch the scenes when Lucky confronts Luke and Laura about the incident. W.O.W. And to think he was only about 15 or 16 at the time the scenes were filmed- you don't see many young actors like that on daytime television. Heck, you don't see many adult actors like that on daytime television.

I disagree he is totally on the vibe right now. You got to be kidding me. He leaks talent and he is rocking those scenes as Lucky right now. People are stupid to think that JJ wasn't the right person for the role he originated. Lucky should never have been recast. GV was way too old. Everyone realizes that even the peeps at ABC who messed everything up.
He is an complished musician, producer, writer, director and actor. I don't see GV doing any those things. His band Enation rocks and they are even going to be playing some of his music on GH in the coming weeks.
You go Jon with your bad emotional self. You are too great for words.

Personally I think Greg Vaughan did a great job with what he was given. The writers are giving Jonathan Jackson much better material, but it is what it is. JJ is Lucky again. He's nailing his scenes too. I do understand the original poster point of view though. Whenever JJ's Lucky talks to Jason in an official capacity, it's almost laughable because Steve Burton is so massively muscular compared to JJ. But he's doing an amazing job. I had to go on youtube and see how his Lucky was back in the day. It would have been even better if JJ never left the role and we saw his take on him being disillusioned to his father's lifestyle and his decision to become a police officer. I think that would have made his cop role seem more likely these days.

Yeah, but there are young police officers, as well as female police officers, like, Ana Devane. Ana is shorter and smaller than Lucky.
So it's not laughable at all. It certainly would not be laughable if Ana talked to Jason, and it's not laughable when Lucky talks to Jason. Jason is suppose to be older than Lucky. And so what if Jason has muscles. All men are shaped differently. Some have muscles and some have a more slimmer builder. Men come in all shapes and sizes. Lucky doesn't have to have muscles. I like Lucky's buil2000d just the way he is. -

I agree that if JJ had never left the role, THAT lucky would be completely different than the one we see today. Lucky never would have become a cop. Ever. Lucky probably would have been more like spinelli (only less geeky). I think Greg Vaughan did well in the role, and he made it his ownas much as he could have. But the character of Lucky was completely CHANGED to suit the kind of actor Greg was, and what he brought to the table. When JJ came back, it wasn't like they could "erase" everything Lucky had been through in the past 10 years, via different actors.
As for Lulu and Lucky being 10-11 years apartthat's "real life" time,
On soaps, child characters are SORAS'd all the time (soap opera rapid aging syndrome! aah!) Look at Lucky and Maxiewhen the original actors were in the roles, Maxie was a baby compared to Lucky. They aged her, and made it so she could be (at the time) a love interest for Lucky. Look at Michael and Kristina. Right now, they are only a couple of years apart. They are in high school at the same time. Michael was born in 1997. Kristina was born in 2002. That means Michael should be 13 and Kristina should be 8. See?
