His wikipedia says he supported Mike Huckabee in the 2008 presidentail race but I don't know how reliable that is.

Yeah I can see if Jonathan was still Republican him supporting Mike Huckabee. One thing about Wikipedia is that anyone can go and change it. -

Why because he is a republican? I am not aksing this because I myself am a Republican but you actually dislike him much less now because of his political beliefs? If that is this case you were never a true fan. You don't judge actors on their political beliefs. I would still love Jonathan even if he was a democrat because he is a fabulous actor, and down to earth person, and while Hollywood itself is whacked out, Jonathan has stayed true to who he is and is not ashamed of his beliefs, and what he stands for. For that I truly admire him even more.

I don't like that he's a Republican either but I still like him. It doesn't take away from his acting ability.

Yes they are his business, but Jonathan is very open about his political beliefs. No one should judge him for it you don't like or dislike someone cause of their political beliefs I also I like him because he is a great singer and a actor a all around great talent not just because he is a republican.
