I've been reading 'My Word is My Bond' by Roger Moore (recommended for fans of the legendary man) and there's an interesting bit about Jones in there:
"Then there was singer Grace Jones, who was cast as May-Day. I've always said if you've nothing nice to say about someone, then you should say nothing. So I'll say nothing." -

Grace Jones says nice things about Moore in her new book "I'll Never Write My Memoirs".
She says "I got on great with Roger Moore. He was very funny and easygoing. He helped me a lot, because I wanted so much to be good. When I got stuck he would humor me"
I just met her at a book signing in New York, she was two hours late and came in seeming intoxicated, either weed or champagne. She was friendly though. -

Hi Jimmy
I was there too (at Union Square, right?).
I loved her book.
I didn't know what to expect, but she was very nice.
The chapter where she skilfully skewers "Doris" and the other performers was very interesting
And I liked how she talked about disco music in general (considering that she was there from its inception and evolution).
"It's just The Apple stretching and yawning,
just dawning. New York, putting it's feet on the floor". -

Hi eagle
Yes, I was at Union Square.
Just finished the book,it was good, she really describes the times well and makes you feel like you are right there with her.
I wish she wrote more about the movie Vamp,my favorite of her films and some of her sexiest moments ever. When I met her I told her I wish I did that scene she did with Robert Rusler with her. I don't think she understood because she said "Oh did you do it?" I said "No I WISH I did". 5b4She just laughed raucously.
