OH,please-Grace Jones was a genuinely unique beauty and a forceful memorable presence anywhere she was back in the day, and she probably still looks better (dresses better) than half these young chicks today running around thinking they're all that because they haven't got any wrinkles. Too bad she quit actingshe was usually the mos interesting thing in whatever she played inshe truly stole the show with her insane crazy role in BOOMERANG with Eddie Murphy. I wish could have seen her play the wicked witch in THE WIZ when it was touring back in the '90's, I thinkthat would have been fun as hell to watch. She also broke the mold by being a black musical artist that didn't fit into any musical categorywhich unfortunately was why most of her music wasn't heard on mainstream pop stations in my area. Let's put it like thiseverything Lady Gaga's done, Grace already did first over 30 years agoend of story.

No, Jones isn't "cute." She's red hot! I love her look! BTWJones would beat to a pulp any of these "sheeple" who are calling her ugly and I'd pay good money to watch it.

I shudder at some of the opinions posted here. in the '80's, Jones's image was created in an era when there were scores of male performers like Sylvester, Boy George & Steve Strange who had feminine stage personas. Grace did the same, creating a 'male' stage prescence, having her hair cut into a severe military style flat top and wearing suits.
All this talk of her being 'scary' just shows how effective her publicists were in projecting this image and I suppose her film roles in 'View to a Kill' and 'Conan the Destroyer' added to this idea she was 'dangerous'.
I've never doubted that her 'attack' on Russell Harty was a publicity stunt.
As regarding her being 'ugly' - she isn't - some of you need to be more open minded and realise that there is more to beauty than white skin, big breasts and blonde hair. -
