Maybe it's because she's renowned for being a Class-A bitch, who treats people like crap and acts like she's a much bigger star than she actually is?
Having worked on a set with her, I can attest to that factshe is a nightmare to work with. For someone of such average talent, she sure has a high opinion of herself. -

She's demanding, rude and condescending, for one thing. She take things WAY too seriously and is very easily offended by non-issues. She treats extras, crew members and her fellow actors like crap, and she's a complete diva, expecting people to cater to her, disproportionate to her limited acting range. She's also ungrateful and non-graciousI saw someone on the set tell her he enjoyed her work on Mad Men, and her reply was a very dismissive "Don't talk to me. You're not paid to talk to me." This was in earshot of other cast members, some of whom rolled their eyes and walked away; it was clear what they thought of her. The guy who'd praised her (a young grip who was one of the nicest guys on the set) was crestfallen but showed himself to be a better person by saying nothing in response to her unwarranted rudeness. I worked for a week on that set, but I only enjoyed onethe day she wasn't there for filming. Thankfully, the rest of my time was spent off-set.

Yeah I think we need something a little bit more concrete, at least before I damn this lady as being a "bitch".

If it were Daniel Day Lewis in this story, everyone would be praising how good he is at "getting into character". -

This isn't a gender issue, so don't try to make it into one. There are plenty of actors and actresses known for being beep but they continue to get fan acclaim because the work they put out is amazing (see: Christian Bale). I'm not saying it's right, I'm not saying it's justified, but being a bitch
and
dubiously talented is the worst combination you could have.
Which is why January's in trouble. -

He gave pretty specific and detailed observations. Why do you assume he is lying? What purpose would his lying on an imdb message board serve anyway? How would he benefit from making it up?

I don't know if their story is true or not. I don't care, actually.
But, are you actually mystified why someone would lie about something on the internet? Have you been to the internet?
To be contrarian.
To feel important.
To affect others' opinions.
To mess with people.
To slander someone they dislike.
I think it is far wiser to approach all things stated as fact on the internet with healthy skepticism. It is easy to lie to strangers, even more so when you don't have to face them and they don't even know who you are.
Sorry, I just couldn't believe I saw someone ask why someone would lie on the internet. -

I totally agree. I find the claims that she cannot act at all bizarre. Watching Betty Draper stirs up so much annoyance and frustrationisn't that evidence of a job well done?
Also, show me proof she's " a grade A bitch who thinks she's so big". Seriously, what is the basis behind that? 111c But then women in Hollywood are always accused of being bitches -

I love her. Simply a fantastic actress. All the hate she gets from MM is simply unwarranted because her character's sometimes so extremely spoiled that the fault is that of the writers. I have been a fan of her since Three Burials of ME and she's always been awesome.
