Can't act worth a damn

She is a good actress and she is very easy on the eyes, HOWEVER when she boasted that she ate her own placenta after she gave birth to her child I was totally grossed out. First, I could not believe she (or anyone) would do that and secondly, that she (or anyone) would admit to it. She said that it was full of vitamins, yadda yadda. I would be like, "Can we take vitamins and skip the placenta?" Other than that I have no opinion on this subject.

same style in every movie/show : "the girl who is bored", and because i saw 5+ of her films, i can say that : this is not a role of composition (has such a level of perfection that even boring the spectators) and shes really bored in the real life.
So hard to say she can act or not finaly, maybe a new "a really boring grace kelly" is born. -

While she is definitely good eye candyJanuary Jones can't act worth a damn.
And to the person who mentioned she got an Emmy nominationlet those people who nominated her watch X-Men: First Class then they'll realize that how she plays Betty Draper isn't amazing but is just how she portrays every role she is in.
I'm a huge Mad Men fan and I hope they eventually just phase her out totally. Don Draper doesn't need that crazy/boring person. -

I have not seen X-Men: First 2000Class yet, but if you look at her "work" in "Unknown" then it's quite predictable she's terrible at acting. She completely took me out of "Unknown" and I was so happy when she had her last scene.

Yeah, she's pretty dead in some of her roles and she interviews poorly, but on Actor's Studio she mentioned she was shy and maybe that's why she doesn't exude personality plus. I like her in Mad Men, but in 'Unknown' and 'X-Men First Class' her quiet, cold, nonperson demeanor doesn't work for the parts. She's like Keanu Reeves, she must be placed in the right role or it falls flat. In both Keanu and January's cases they need to be in the correct parts to be successful.

of course i saw all Mad men episodes, but the first time i saw her i was thinking its just a "madame bovary style" (check google, hard to explain but so obvious); and after many episodes it was clearly a lack of talent.
Im generaly nice with actors because i love movies and i think its a hard job, but i wish to mrs jones to have the click and find it to express feelings one day. -

I just saw Unknown, had no idea who she is, and all I could think throughout the movie is "she's a horrible actress". Every single actor, including the extras, acted circles around her. How is she famous/getting roles?

I'm usually one that loves seeing a hot actress in a movie or tv show not wearing much, but with her in First Class I kept looking at her and thought that is not that good of a look, she has kind of this weird rectangular body.

Give the girl a break, she's not talentless she's misunderstood. She is a graduate of the Keanu Reeves School of minimalist acting. Like her guru the world will eventually learn to appreciate her skills.
Also there are worse things in life. This is what happens when you watch a Tom Cruise film: -

That is so true (even though I can easily overlook Keanu's acting skills when watching The Matrix, one of my favorite films of all time).
I have to agree, she sucks at acting and has a very dull, lifeless presence. I had noticed this before, watching X-Men, but it became even more obvious with Unknown, and all the people who were watching it with me agreed.
