Dean Norris from Breaking Bad landed a new job on Under The Dome while Breaking Bad started to shoot it's final season.
Actors got to work. Why wait until the show your doing is all wrapped up before looking for your next job? I think it's easier to find a job when you have a job.
Again. January's agent did their job and she has a new job the second she's done with Mad Men. Good for her. -

It's not a matter of 'what I don't like'. It's a limited concept. A man that has rule of the world is fun for five minutes, then it gets boring; no interactions or any objectives. Seems aimless.
But the flashbacks, which Jones is a part of, may change things. -
