I was actually hoping that she would be one of the first to go in CSI:NYit's got to be her or the 'Lips with legs'. Sorry but the women in CSI:NY are not in the same league in terms of looks or acting ability compared to the ladies in Miami or Vegas.
I know that producers want to cover as many ethnic bases as possiblebut reallyis this the best they could findin NY?
The series is losing viewer points weekly and they need to look at probably more than just the women. NY is turning into a 60 minute pop videotoo many scientific studies to musicgive us some decent characterisationplease -

Yes, I like Melina, I don't think they do right by her as far as lighting
on the show. It's make her look older when they put so many shadows and it ages her too much.
Also, how many of you caught this when she was in the church that time. When she dipped her finger in the holy water and crossed herself, she went from right to left, instead of left to right. If you didn't know she was Greek before, that should have given it away, since we Catholics cross from left to right, not like she did, the Orthodox way.

I accidentally got hooked on "Providence" (it was the sort of thing when background noise at some point turns engrossing) and was won over entirely by Melina Kanakaredes. So now I'm trying to catch CSI, but still I miss the opportunities that she was given in showcase as Syd Hansen.
There's no denying she's beautiful in a less languid and shopworn way than a lot of her contemporaries. But I think one of the things that adds to her beauty is the fact that she has a great face for an actress. It combines personality and features in the hallmark way we used to get from actresses like Katharine or Audrey Hepburn.
Melina's a beautiful woman but it doesn't interfere with her acting. She can look like "a person" and has fluidity of emotion, too. I don't think CSI will give her the opps to glam it up like "Providence", but I can assure you that when she does, she's a knock-out.
My guess is for most good actresses that being thought of as being merely beautiful though is not as important as nailing the performance. -

Not many realise that we do it differently than Roman Catholics. I, for one, am thrilled that we're represented in such a wonderful way. A Greek, played by a Greek! Will wonders never cease? -

She is great.I love her.She is beautiful,smart and tallanted.I accidentally caught her i Providence and I really liked her.After that I watched CSI:NY and she became my favourite actress.She also sings very good.I've heard two of her songs.She is gorgeos.I LOVE HER.
