Why did they then join the Nazis.

They never joined the Nazis. They made a non-aggression pact with Germany.
Poland should've given Hitler what he wanted (the Danzig Corridor) in 1938. Hitler was willing to give Poland some German land in exchange for it. There would've been no invasion of Poland, no WWII and no Holocaust if Poland had made a deal with Hitler and Britain had butted out altogether, but Britain insisted that Poland stand its ground against Hitler. Thanks for nothing, Britain. -

Yah, unforgettable is
Hitler
's hilarious nomination for the
Nobel Peace Prize
.
In a submission not intended to be taken seriously, antifascist member of the Swedish parliament Erik Gottfrid Christian Brandt nominated German dictator Adolf Hitler, but the nomination was cancelled. No prize was awarded in 1939 to anyone for peace.

I think that it's nonsense to think that would have satisfied Hitler.
We know from the real world that appeasement didn't work with the Nazis.
And many folks seem to be forgetting, today, that international bullies should be stood up to. -

Shooter's posts about sweetcorn and gout have more value than this moron's disturbed Hitler love-in.
The only thing a bloodthirsty bully like Hitler understands is head on violence. Much like Putin, another of this oddball's favourites.
I think I was 5 years old when I was taught that the road to appeasement was absolutely disastrous.

So, now, here's something what I'm
really
thankful for (among other things).
This is
LEGEND
.
And even though I wasn't born at that time, and the Brits didn't do it alone, there were some
'special Brits'
who made it work. Therefore I generously forgave you (plural) your annoying flirting.
Yah, I grew up in the British occupation zone, although no one took it seriously at that time.
Leastwise we didn't.

Did you know anyone who grew up in Russian occupation on the other side of the wall.
Before fall of the wall, No.
My mother was born in the North.
The family members of our father (East Prussia) made it to the West or died. -

I've never met a Jerry irl. I was friends with one on imdb.
Do you remember his/her IMDb username?
There were many Germans on the Vikings board.
But I guess that's not your cup of tea (Vikings).

I grew up watching The Vikings with Kirk Douglas and tony Curtis .
Her name was miss_Stardust. She was mainly on the sports board where she was second in command of my anti
chelski FC
gang. Lol.

…Sorry, I wasn't involved in IMDb soccer battles.
Some few discussions on special occasions, yes.
But cannot remember her username, if she ever crossed my path.
Btw. nice username!…Stardust.
Ok ok, this is not the GIF thread.
