Llewelyn is pronounced Flew ellen. Double L is welsh and is pronounced as Fl.
          Same with Lloyd.

            no it's not
LL is pronounced like the sound a cat makes before it attacks, but softer and less violent
people who can't speak welsh or any gaelic language struggle so much trying to say it for some reason, same with DD

I'm Welsh and its frustrating seeing you all try to pronounce his name, especially since you're all doing it wrong. It's also frustrating because there's no way to pronounce "LL" through words, it has to be heard.

I always thought it was pronounced "Chhh-lew-ellen".
I live in a building called "Llandovery House", which is a place in Wales. "Llandovery" I mean here. 🙂

I go by Lou-Ellen because that's how it's pronounced on the DVDs by the people that worked with him and were his friends.

you cant really put it in words, ive never seen an american pronounce welsh words right and thats probably why. lou-ellen is the lazy way to say it though so just go with that (i do and am welsh)

Hear, hear, Farquad92. I didn't know it was pronounced any differently in Welsh, therefore that is why I said "Lou-Ellen", Chinnick, and that is how I have heard English speakers of all accents say it. 🙂
