Why isn't he a bigger star?

Considering some of the major films he has been in like the X-Men film, 27 Dresses and Enchanted, I'm surprise he isn't a bigger star like his X-Men co-star Hugh Jackson. especially with his Tom Cruise good looks but he seem to come off more as a character actor with leading man looks! neither way I'm enjoying watching him in WESTWORLD at the moment.

Cause we never saw his eyes! I'm blown away by his performances on Westworld. So expressive! He's great! But all you ever saw in X-Men was him wearing huge sunglasses covering half his head. A damn shame. He sort of got famous without anybody knowing who he was! Hopefully that all changes now.

Romantic comedies and family films don't tend to make you a huge star unless they cross over to people who normally don't watch those types of films I'm not sure that 27 Dresses, in particular, did that.
It's generally accepted as a good film for those who like that kind of thing, but I can't imagine many guys watching it even t2000o make fun of, in the way that they might, say, Pretty Woman or Titanic. If you don't like it, then it's not famous enough to poke fun at; it's just averagely known.
