does anyone think that reba the show was underrated? it was funny and a good family show. and it was successful (it ran for 6 seasons). i dont think it got the recognition it deserved.
does anyone think that reba the character (reba hart) should have found love on the show. i liked the guy who she was dating for a while, but then he told her he loved her and she didn't quite feel the same way. i think they should have continued the relationship and could have worked it out and in the last episode he could have asked her to marry himawwwwww
does anyone think that reba the actual person (reba mcentire) was overlooked for her role and should have won the GG she was nominated for and also won an emmy? i just think she did a really great job playing her role. she was funny, smart, sensitive, strong, everything about her character was amazing and i feel she was severely overlooked. and i wish she would have done more singing in the episodes too b/c her voice is so beautiful and amazing.

Damn right she was overlooked!! Should have won easily! It was never released over here in Scotland for reasons unknown, probably didn't think anyone would know who Reba was or like this type - maybe a litt5b4le too syrupy for the Brit market? Who knows, the powers that be decided against it for whatever reasons(?). Reba did a great job and I think it should have run for a little longer or maybe they could do a reunion show or something, but Reba's touring and recording albums again so we can't complain, the new album was brilliant!
Congrats to reba on her ACM nom for female vocalist!!!!

Honestly it was cancelled for incredibly stupid reasons. At the time it was one of the highest rated (I want to say highest, but I'm not positive on that) shows on the "CW", but since it wasn't the demographic they wanted to reach (i.e. tweens), it was cancelled. I'm glad it got somewhat of a finale (albeit rushed). As for her not singing a whole lot, I was honestly relieved. I love her voice (have all of her CDs), but I'm glad they didn't really have to resort to her signing to help the show out.

I understand what you mean about her singing and stuff. I can just recall 3 times when she sang: when she was singing to baby Elizabeth, when she sang her old flames favorite song in the bar after he had passed (both of which were great, heart wrenching, goosebump inducing moments), and when she sang a phrase from "9 to 5" when she Barbara Jean, and Cheyenne were in the karaoke bar (and this moment I don't really even count as her singing because it was so brief). Like I said, I do agree with you, but at the same time I wish she had done a few more singing moments like the first two I mentioned. Also, you're right about the stupidity of the CW canceling the show. If we/they actually look at it, it was popular. Screw their key demographic crap. Like you said, one of the highest rated if not the highest rated for their network. Also, she won a People's Choice Award for her role. That award is given to the winner based on who received the most votes from the PEOPLE. Therefore, the public clearly enjoyed her work enough to give her an award. And, she was nominated for a Golden Globe and while one of the most complimentary and credible awards given, the nominations are a lot of the times based on popularity with great acting in mind as well. Once again popularity plays a role. But, we can't expect that much from the CW. They're the same network who put on that crap remake of Melrose Place and a lot of other duds. I just wish some other network had picked it up and given it the respect it deserved. All of this makes me pissed off about the Ghost Whisperer (another one of my favorite shows), and how CBS treated it. It canceled it though it was still a highly rated show and consistently won it's time slot for any network. Why are network execs so stupid?
