Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Anthony Minghella

I had no idea it was written by him until i saw it on the BFI site. It was all about 2 suicidal men on a bridge. It was brilliant, very memorable and warm, full of great details.
It was only 20 minutes long but i never forgot it.

Wow, I've never heard of this. Do you have a link to where you read about it?
It's harder to be bleak if you're playing Knees Up, Mother Brown.

        Actually i saw it!
It was part of a series of one off self contained 20 minute plays starring Mel Smith and Griff Rhy Jones in the late 1980s. They were all great but this one stands out in particular. I had no idea it was a Minghella piece until i read this: http:b68//www.imdb.com/board/10096699/

OH I saw that on his IMDb page and was wondering what it was about! It sounds wonderful.
