Why do human beings need to own guns?

Germany, Japan and Poland are
not
****hole countries, and I'm sure they would be insulted by what you say. And I would be willing to bet their thinking was just as
naive
as yours. Any government can become abusive, so you have to be prepared.
And you say the US government would just do drone strikes to kill us all. Why would the government want to kill us? That makes no sense, so that
not
would happen. But if they wanted to
subjugate us,
all they would have to do is just
confiscate the guns.
That's what ALL abusive regimes do, first they disarm the population. The Second Amendment prevents that.
And if you outlaw guns, only
outlaws
would have them, and then the vast majority of good citizens,
black and white,
would be
helpless
to defend themselves. So just
"locking your doors and windows"
would be useless.
And
criminals
will
always
be able to get guns. And the guns are not the problem,
the people are the problem
. It's a
cultural and mental health issue.
Every citizen in Switzerland is
required
by the government to have a gun for national defense, but their gun violence is virtually nil.
And speaking of national defense, did you know that in WW II the Japanese never planned to invade the US because they knew they would be met by an armed civilian population?
The strongest gun control laws in America are in
Chicago,
and it's one of the
murder capitals
of the country.

The strongest gun control laws in America are in Chicago, and it's one of the murder capitals of the country.
Almost all murders take place in a very isolated area/block and it’s all black on black gang violence. We all know your old white ass has never entered the hood, you don’t need a gun to protect yourself.
Also almost all the guns being used are from outside of Chicago, maybe we should build a damn wall to keep those stinky guns from illegally migrating to cities like Chicago. -

Meanwhile, maybe we should instead address the problem of why the chief killer of young black men is young black men. And my old white ass has TWO guns for defense: an AR-15 and a P-38, so

Yeah, but just because it happened over there doesn’t mean it would have happened here.
We have a system set up of checks and balances where no one would take over and do mass murder of the population if we didn’t have guns.
You really think guns keep the military at bay?
Those are delusions of grandeur when they have better trained soldiers and hardware that make your guns look like pea shooters.
Try shooting at a tank with any of your guns and see if it stops it before it crushes you to death.
The Founding Fathers made the mistake with the 2nd because there was not an organized military at the time.
They wouldn’t have done it if the guns we have now existed back the and they saw the damage they do to innocents.
