I'm rather glad he did this last little performance so that there is at least a moment documented of him, incomplete and insufficient that it is, on this side of the camera.

I just read about his death just now. I bought the Atonement DVD yesterday and I immediately remembered he has a cameo at the end of the film. He was such an amazing talent. It chokes me up just thinking about that little piece of him in the film.
