When Meredith Monroe first started acting why was she known as Meredith Hoyt Monroe rather than Meredith Leigh Monroe?
Over the course of her career she has gone from Meredith Hoyt Monroe, to Meredith Lee Monroe and now Meredith Leigh Monroe. It seems that its not just her age that keeps changing but her name as well.
Does anyone know the reason behind this? -

I've only seen her listed as Meredith Hoyt Monroe once. It could either be her mothers maiden name or the interviewer made a mistake
As for Meredith Leigh Monroe and Meredith Lee Monroe, that is most likely a common mistake as both names sound very much alike and again an interviewer or writer miss took the name.
As fa111cr as I know Meredith Monroe has never said what age she is. And I have seen her birth date range from 1968 (which is currently listed at IMDB) to 1976.
In her biography it states that she graduated from high school in 1988. Most people graduate at either 17 or 18 so that would make her birth year at 1970 if she graduated at 18. -

I have seen Meredith Hoyt Monroe on a number of websites especially one's created while she was on Dawson Creek. Lee not so many just the one or two but she has been listed as Hoyt on the sony Dawson Creek site. The Wikipedia site create in German for her, the film reference, WikiWorld Book are just a few sites.
The Hoyt name seems to be attached to more websites created around the time she was on Dawson Creek and started to change from Hoyt to Leigh around 2003/4 period.
Even though her name change there doesn't seem to be any reason give as to why. Also back in 2000 she was also list as Hoyt on the IMDb site, I been told and it's definitely not her maiden name.
