What you fail to grasp is that people are both good and bad. Human beings are complex and you can’t just simplify it.
There is a lot more destruction besides people just shooting and killing each other. Look at all this stuff below….- Children finding guns and accidentally killing themselves
- Depressed people committing suicide via firearm
- Gun shot victims paying hundreds of thousands of dollars from hospital bills
- People serving jail time for gun charges
- The anxiety that kids in school have to deal with (lockdown drills)
- The absurdly high prison populations in America

I don't fail to grasp it at all. They're all valid points you make, but until we take guns off the criminals I'm going to reserve the right to defend myself.
I also reserve the right to be self sufficient in the event of a much more serious lab leak and to rise up in the event my government becomes communist and/or authoritarian.
