She gets a biopic? She was known for Clueless.

I've only watched her in Clueless,Little Black Book and 8 Mile. Of course you will be underrated if you can't bring in an audience for a movie. She was never a lead actress but supporting cast. She had plenty of opportunities but couldn't get people in the seats. She was entertaining as a supporting actress but she couldn't carry a movie on her own.
You are so wrong it's laughable. Talent and being able to generate box office revenue do not always go together. Cameron Diaz isn't a brilliant actor, nor is Tom Cruise, but they have always been very bankable and not because of their acting ability, but because they have grossed millions. Being able to get people in seats has nothing to do with talent.
Look at actors like Cate Blanchett, Sissy Spacek, Frances McDormand, Sam Rockwell, Julianne Moore, Phillip Seymour Hofman, Daniel Day Lewis. They've never been huge box office draws, but they are/were some of the most talented people in the industry. It's because they don't make films that appeal to EVERYBODY, like Cruise, Adam Sandler, Diaz, Katherine Heigl, Mel Gibson, Julia Roberts et al., who probably pick movies like action flicks or rom-coms because they know those types of films have huge audiences and they are worried more about their salary than the film itself.
You should listen more to what the critics say and less to what audiences see. Casual audiences, most of the time, would have no idea what a good film is if it hit them in the face. So in defence of Brittany Murphy, just because she wasn't a "leading lady' (a bogus and pathetic term), doesn't mean she couldn't act. -

If you look her movies ,she kind was the only actress of this movie that "made it".

Actually Alicia Silverstone had a mile success ( was also the most known one since "the Crush" after Clueless. I would say that out of the whole movie the two most claim to fame from that movie were Paul Rudd and Brittany Murphy.

I actually didn't know her from Clueless because I didn't see that film until I was much older. I grew up watching her in lots of movies though Girl Interrupted, Drop Dead Gorgeous, Cherry Falls, Uptown Girls, 8 Mile, Don't Say a Word, Just Married she was a very widely known actress with a big audience and fanbase, and a lot of people from my generation grew up watching her in these movies. As far as her talent goes, she was fantastic in The Dead Girl, Girl Interrupted, and Spun. She was a respectable actress and regarded as a talent by many. Roger Ebert championed her talent throughout her career.
