I was watching E! News recently and I saw her in photo in which she looked like a splitting image of the late disco queen complete with those big hair.
And since Brandy herself is a recording artiste herself perhaps she could pl16d0ay Summer.

Brandy has an amazing voice, but I honestly cannot see anyone other than Kelly Rowland playing this part.

Agreed. I could have seen her playing Diahann Carroll maybe, but not Donna Summer, for me it will always be Kelly Rowland or Tasha Smith.

Now that I looked at some others with Kelly Rowland being in the lead, but I also think Tasha Smith. And lately, I have been watching "Deception" and Meagan Good, would be another candidate to consider, she has the acting chops for it, and the looks too.
