I have to say, that she did not get 'off the hook'. Her career is dead, and the only people who will sign her is a third rate record company.
But I am not gonna pull the race card. Far from it. Rebecca Gayheart killed a kid in a car accident, and got off lightly, despite conviction. Her career is dead, just like that kid she hit.
That video of her naked with a beauty queen is just irritating, because she's high and clearly doing damage to other people, such as her husband's career.
Matthew Broderick killed two people in Ireland, in addition to injuring his then girlfriend, Jennifer Grey, who is still getting treatment for those injuries 20 years later. His career isn't any healthier.
But what got all those people out of trouble was simple - money and PR.
Brandy was able to get out of manslaughter charges because the victim had marijuana in her system.
But her career never recovered. Because this was a long line of incidents that permanently tarnished her image.
When she got Punk'd, comments that she made turned quite alot of folks against her. Then there was her pregancy where she lied about being married, and getting divorced, including a reality TV show 'chronicling' her relationship with the dad, and the pending arrival of her baby. Everything but the birth of the kid was faked for cameras, but I would not be surprised if that wasn't real either. And before that, there was the time she lied about dating a much older dude, saying she was not in a relationship All to preserve her image. You publicly put out so much lies, eventually people are gonna wonder when the heck one is telling the truth.
I have to say I did see her behind the music special, and boy, was it bad. IT just seemed like an excuse for her to make excuses for the things she has done. None of which were believable. Also interesting that her mother did not take part in that show. And then she had to stuff a memorial to Whitney Houston into it.

Deadly auto accidents happen all the time. I don't get why people are so judgemental AT ALL. There have been times when I have came close to hitting someone because I wasn't paying attention momentarily, and I have friends and family that have been in crashes that have been pretty bad FOR INSTANCE.
I could understand holding it against her if she was drunk driving, yes, but it was a mistake.

It happened years ago, get over it people! Yes a women is dead but it was an honest accident. Brandy payed her debts and settled out of court, it's done! There is nothing more She can do You ignorant fools, there is no point in arguing about a matter that took place 10 years ago.
