Best Ozzy guitarist

As a lifetime Ozzy fan I don't think this is really a fair question. I personally wouldn't put Jake E Lee into the equasion. To compare Randy and Zakk is in my opinion impossible. They are 2 completely different styled guitarists. Zakk is a take no prisoner no holds barred guitarist that is extremely talented. Randy was a classically trained musician that was a total perfectionist. Even at the time of his untimely death he was still learning. I can honestly say if his life was not cut short he would have been the best performer to ever pick up a guitar.
All in all to be fair they are definately 2 of the best! -

I'd say randy simply because during his time he was a pioneer. Although Zakk's music is heavier that doesn't necessarily make him a better gutiarist. But at the end of the day i have to say the Jake E Lee had the best sounding solo when it comes to bark at the moon.

I think Randy was the best, because even now ozzy recognizes that Rhoads was the best guitarist (and musician) he ever met, he was technically gifted and extremely talented for his age, and has been a deep source of inspiration for a lot of other guitarists(zakk himself, dimebag, malmsteen, etc).
Zakk himself has said he will never be as good as randy

No disrespect to Zakk, without Randy, there is no Zakk Wylde !!! HELL, there's no Ozzy solo career without Randy. To that one anus that said Zakk is metal and Randy was classic rock, listen to metal back in 80, 81, 82. Blizzard and Diary were metal as metal got, the music and sound has evolved over the years. All of his guitarist have been great.
Jake E Lee, his attitude sucked, but I wonder what Bark at the Moon and Ultimate Sin would have sounded like if he had chosen Warren DeMartini or George Lynch over Jake. Matter of fact, what would have Dokken or Ratt sounded like if that happened ?
How many forgot that Bernie Torme was the first guitarist in Ozzy's band after Randy died. Only to be replaced by Brad Gillis shortly afterwards. -

You people need to wake up and smell the coffee and the roses. Randy Rhoads was the greatest guitarist Ozzy ever knew and played with. Randy Rhoads would've been the equivalent of Eddie Van Halen by todays standards. PERIOD!!! Maybe even close to a Jimmy Page or Jimi Hendrix. Zakk Wylde can't hold a candle or their jock straps. And the rest of Ozzy's band can't really play all that good anyways. It's all just noise with Ozzy's music today. People learn this!5b4 Ozzy should just retire and count his millions. His heydays were over like 20 years ago. He's a legend and a burnt out rock star today.

I do too. A lot of people already summed it up for me, that they are two very different but extremely talented guitarists.
But I think Jake E. Lee deserves some credit. His solos for Shot In The Dark and Bark At The Moon were pretty awesome! -

Randy Rhoads hands down, anyone who says otherwise is stupid/retarded.
Zakk & Jake were both influenced by Randy No Randy = Zakk & Jake would have sounded different than they do now.
Zakk uses the pentatonic scale too much anyway.
Randy #1 forever. -

Randy Rhoads was the best, not only with ozzy, listen to some quiet riot material, you'll tell he was more than just a guitar player, he is the master of rock guitar, a musician that has inspired so many people (including zakk wylde). Van Halen himself said randy was great.

Seconded.
My favourite of all times, and he barely had the opportunity to show his exceptional talent. Each time I listen to the ending solo of Tonight, it makes me shiver. And the progression between Blizzard and Diary is incredible, his compositing is more mature and his guitar play is even more unique.
R.I.P. Randy and well, happy birthday Ozzy !- Want some sugar ?
- No thank you Turkish. I'm sweet enough.
