Settle down junior. There's no need to disrespect the deceased because you don't like the man's vocals

"Heaven and Hell (the album) is way better than anything Black Sabbath did with Ozzy. Yes, that includes Paranoid."
That all comes down to a matter of preference, buddy! I love H&H and MR, but Ozzy left behind a legacy with Sabbath that includes Master of Reality, Sabotage, Paranoid, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, Volume 4, Black Sabbath, etc.
Some people might like Paranoid more for its doomy riffs, dark bluesy feel and Ozzy's eerie voice, while others might like Heaven and Hell more for its mysticism, less-bluesy approach with Dio's range. I like both; it's difficult for me to compare though because Dio's only in 2 good Sabbath albums vs. Ozzy's 7 or 8.

That's exactly right it is all a matter of preference. Who's to say who's better really. I like all forms of sabbath whether it be Dio, tony martin, glenn hughes, Ian guillan, etc.. But I do think Dehumanized is a good an underrated album and the devil you know I also enjoy

I like some of the Martin stuff too - lots of good songs from Headless Cross and Cross Purposes. The band didn't even want to call themselves Sabbath at this point; the record company made them. I think that even goes as far back as Heaven and Hell!
I like some of the material on Dehumanizer but in my opinion, it's nowhere along the lines of HH and MR. Same goes for The Devil You Know. I just feel the latter two albums w/ Dio are too doomy for the Sabbath-Dio era. I think Dehumanizer and TDYK would have been better had Ozzy been singing over those riffs. There's just not much, how shall I put it (magic?) in those songs compared to HH and MR.

Yeah and the Eternal idol album also has some killer stuff. That's a good point you make about them not wanting to call themselves black sabbath because a lot of clueless people always bash Iommi for still calling them sabbath after Ozzy was gone.
I do agree that Dehumanizer and The devil you know isn't as powerful as heaven and hell or mob rules, but I think they are good albums in their own right2000.

Yeah, I always want to like Dehumanzier but when I listen to it, it just doesn't do it for me. I like some songs, and hopefully more will grow on me. Still gotta listen to more Devil You Know as well!

I'll always be an Ozzy person, but frankly, he's been an embarrassement the past couple decades or so. Dio was never an embarrassment.
Dio indeed had the stronger voice, but Ozzy's just captured me better. Having the guys in Black Sabbath back him up at their peak certainly helped.
Anyway, Dio's gone now, and Ozzy's still embarrassing, and arguments like this are pointless. But they certainly inspire a some angry responses, don't they?

I get a chuckle from people who actually think Ozzy has any talent whatsoever, especially compared to a GOD of RocknRoll. If you really believe Ozzy is more talented, then you're a beep moron (and I have never used that expletive in the seven years I have been posting here).

Both are great front men. The late Ronnie James Dio was a great SINGER. With all due respect, Ozzy's voice is shot.
