I can't stand to hear her speak. You'd think that she would get some speech therapy. It makes me wonder why would anyone cast someone with a speech impediment. A person without a lisp can fake one, but aparently a person with a lisp can't fake not having one.

Why wouldn't a person with a lisp be casted? Instead of criticising each other's differences we should embrace them. Wouldn't life be boring if we were all the same? -

Yes. Every actor should look, talk and move the same and just mimick reality. THE LOGIC HERE.
Thank you! See, you get it. We really don't want to see people like that on tv - it makes us uncomfortable. Like you pointed out - it's just better if we see people that are like us.

I agree she us truly appalling to hear and her acting doesnt cover for it. She isnt worth all the adulation and has made several seasons of AHS tough to sit through as she is always mistakenly made the focus.
