She was only famous for 2 years, 2003-2005.
After Newlyweds ended and she divorced Nick, nobody gave a crap about Jessica anymore, (and they still don't).
Actually, she's still famous, whether or not you've ever liked her singing or acting is irrelevant, she's still famous. And there are still plenty of us that like her movies and/or music.. I also think she has a very likable personality

Her country album did fairly well.
A lot of other artists did worse than her that year. Jessica Simpson isn't the one having the least success just now, there are so many other actors/singers having much less fortunate success, I'm actually quite shocked at how much she is worth. -

According to Celebrity net worth Jessica is worth 100 million dollars. And this is not to knock Michelle Williams a critically acclaimed actress of about the same age. Williams is worth 16 million dollars.
So I guess Jessica did fairly well for a flash in the pan -

Jessica is still famous. She's more famous for her persona then her actual talent but she is famous. The woman has a great voice I really don't understand why she can't get her music career off the ground.

You cant say shes not famous, the woman is worth 100million dollars. Even though she might not be singing and on the radio, her fashion, perfume and all of that net her SO much money. She went from a bubble pop singer to being a business woman, who happens to be extremely good at what she does otherwise she wouldn't be making that ridiculous amount of money that she makes.
use google before you decide to post about how someones career is dead, cause trust me, Jessica's is no where to being dead. You want a dead career? look at Tara Reid. -

She is probably one of the richest celebrities/businesswomen out there.
The music business is a dud these days unless you are Lady Gaga or Adele.
I've never really been big fan of her music but she was smart to stop relying on the music business to fill her pocket.
