She is usually quite articulate as she talks about her $1 billion fashion empire.
But on Saturday Jessica Simpson came off very differently as she gave an interview to Extra while on the carpet at the 2015 Teen Vogue Fashion University event in New York City.
The 34-year-old singer and designer pulled strange faces and rambled as she talked about her devotion to her family.
The star did not appear focused and often she seemed as if she was about to fall over.
When asked about her daughter Maxwell, the Dukes Of Hazzard beauty said, 'Right now her favorite fashion is her dad's shirts,' she started.
She then expressed how dumbfounded she was by that by jerking her head around.
'And it's funny because I always thought it was so romantic to always wear your boyfriend's shirt. And Maxwell is making that happen.'
She then paused and added awkwardly, 'Her dad is her boyfriend.'
Before that she made a strange segue that didn't make too much sense.
'I dont know how I fit everything in my life, but somehow it just happens,' she started.
'My kids are absolutely my priority, my family is everything to me and I think just focusing on them'
She then changed the subject without missing a bear, 'Even in our collection we do kids so dressing my daughter is really fun, so that inspires me, especially right now.'
She also came off as a bit tipsy when she talked about her new project - another album (which will be her first new album since 2010's Christmas album).
Jessica said: 'Right now Im starting a record and Im getting into a lot of other fun things.'
She did not elaborate on what the 'fun things' were.
'Fashion will always be a part of who I am, its literally like if Im not wearing a good outfit I cant sing a good song,' she joked.

Percs I don't feel are very psychoactive or whatever, but Xanax can do some rather strange things with brain chemistry, especially when mixed with anything else, let alone a little bit of alcohol.
