Why do some many people go on about her looks?

I agree. I've never been that big of a fan. Although I will say that she does play the "bitch" factor well in "Philadelphia," but other than that, most of her acting consists of one-note portrayals of dull and/or tritely neurotic women.
However, in all fairness to her, I think my aversion stems from her dead-ringer (voice, mannerisms, facial expressions, etc.) resemblance to my aunt, who is irritating to every extent. So who knows, lol. -

Yeah, there is. She has a totally sweet voice. She also seems to be a happy person - or, probably, more to the point, the characters she plays always seem to be smiling. There's a very nice warm happy loving air about her.
And she's just totally damned cute, which, as she gets older, makes her get extremely smokin' hot. The woman just doesn't age. Year after year, she just looks great, and every guy's fantasy to have sex with a hot older woman who knows what she's doing.
And she looks like she really, really knows what she's doing.
I want the doctor to take your picture so I can look at you from inside as well. -

No offense, noveltylibrary, but from your avatar I'm guessing you are not male. Ms. Steenbergen has been very sexy for a very long time. She's pretty, sexy, demure, smart, and bitch in all the right combination. She is just as hot now in
Justified
as when I first saw her in
Going South
