Yes, I agree. I have just watched Time After Time and thought she was lovely, but only when she was standing against a tree did she suddenly strike me as a deadringer for Kate Bush. Great film as well, I thought.

I just saw a Sundance photo (Marilyn Hotchkiss' Ballroom Dancing and Charm School)on this site and thought the same thing. I went down to the bottom of her bio and saw your comment! I laughed out loud.

I have been thinking this same thing for quite some time, and reminded of it again just recently, upon seeing Mary in an episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm. I'm a big Bush fan and have seen a lot of pictures and interviews, and there are definitely some similarities there between these two.
The thought entered my head of a film plot, in which they ended up meeting each other, turning out to be sisters in some sort of new age grown-up "Parent Trap" scenario. One from the UK, one from the US B5b4oth in entertainment, although one is a bit reclusive, the other one is constantly in the limelight. Maybe they even go as far as to do a Prince & the Pauper type thing, and switch lives! I'm sure Kate could act up a storm, just need t find out it Mary can sing
This would be beep most likely.
          beep but fun.
I'm not sure whether it is just a phase, but I do find both of these women to be exceedingly attractive. I used to think that I was merely in love with Kate, living out a sort of post-teenage crush, but maybe it is just how these lovely ladies look. OK, so one is approaching 50, and the other is a few years beyond, they are both married, famous and pretty well off I doubt if I am in with a chance, but even the vaguest possibility of a three-way is mind blowing. I'd even let Danny & Ted watch. Hey, I'm a nice guy. A nice guy, with a Kate Bush obsession and evidently anyone who looks remotely like her.
Good work for having this subject up here. Makes me feel slightly better knowing that I am not alone in this thought process.

than Mary Steenburgen. Sort of like if Anne Archer had Mary Steenburgens hair and cut off few years and add few more pounds.

Just came across her in Dead of Winter on cable. As a Kate Bush fan I was struck by the resemblance. I've seen Mary in other things though and it never occurred to me.
Could be the hairstyle adding to it. Given the popularity of Kate at that time though the resemblance may have been intentional.

                                Totally agree!
Got done watching 5b4Gulliver's Travels again all I could think was Kate Bush, the period costume made it more explicit.
