She obviously HAS. And for those who have never been fat, you have NO idea what an accomplishment THAT is, whether by diet, lapband, or gastric bypass! Here's a recent picture of Liz Torres:

Actually, very recently, she appears to have lost a ton of weight. There's another thread called "WOW!!" that mentions this. On Gilmore Girls this season she really looks great.
I haven't seen her most recently, but if that's true then good for her.

I have to say that we ALL looked or will look way better when it was 30 years ago, don't ya think? As someone who is almost 40 and wishes she still had her 18 year old body I understand a little of the weight gain thing. Liz is NOT a 19 year old teenager anymore. Maybe she did let herself go, but not it's obvious she's combatting that. So please don't be sad for her, just be sad for the lifestyle that some of us tend to lead when we're so busy we don't eat healthy or exercise right. It's all McDonald's fault! lol

I just came here for the same reason as the OP. She was quite5b4 an attractive woman in the episode The Boarder Patrol. I wouldn't say anything negative about her weight gain either.

I was watching that exact episode of All in the Family the other day! I noticed the receptionist's eyes and mouth looked very familiar. Then I thought..she looked like Miss Patty from Gilmore Girls a bit, but I doubt that's her. Then I saw the name Liz Torres at the end of the episode and I said: OMG!!! She was so beautiful. How does someone gain 400 pounds over 30 years? She looked like she was in her late 20s in that episode and her figure was perfect. It's sad, indeed.

I just saw her today in the off-Broadway play "It Must be Him". (Hers was the best performance, by the way.) She is definitely not as heavy as she is seen in those pics. She is currently of normal weight for a lady her age.
A lot of EVERYBODY regardless of ethnicity (Hispanic is not a race) gain weight as they age. Except maybe for my two Hispanic grandmothers and my Hispanic great aunt and uncle who actually lost weight as they aged and struggled to maintain a normal weight in their golden years. -

Well she can look how ever she wants, but I remember the first time I saw her on "Gilmore Girls" it kept bugging me that I knew she had been normal size, and that I recognized her from somewhere, and then I saw Sally Struthers on the same episode of "Gilmore Girls", and yes both women have put on some pounds over the years, but they both look and seem to be happy. They just look different, but they're both also very good and funny actors.
